Marmolejo is a Spanish municipality in the province of Jaén, Andalusia, belonging to the region of the Campiña of Jaén, which lies to the west of it, bordering the province of Córdoba. The northern half of the municipality are mountains (Sierra Morena); a sector of this area is integrated into the Sierras de Andujar Natural Park. The southern half concentrates the cultivated areas where the olive groves prevail, although in the river Guadalquivir there are also some important irrigated crops such as corn, cotton , alfalfa and a variety of horticultural products.
In this enclave of fascinating nature, between the Sierra de Andujar and the North Campiña, in a benign microclimate, are our olive groves. Once their fruit is collected in its right time, they produce the wonderful juice which is our mono-variety Picual virgin olive oil.
